But I cheated.
Work has been extremely busy the past few months and I haven’t had much time to anything, let alone read blogs.
I’ve steadily watched my unread count rise to 1000,2000,3000,4000 and finally 5k unread posts. I’ve periodically knocked it back a bit but haven’t been able to put a substantial dent into it.
Tonight it was at 4200 and I finally hit the bullet and flushed it. I read what looked immediately interesting and skipped over my less interesting subscriptions entirely. It’s now sitting at 269 which is far more manageable and I’m hoping I’ll be able to keep on top of it from this point on.
My public list of feeds can be found here. Mostly tech related but there’s a bit of stuff for everyone, which is probably what makes it difficult to keep up with.

Finally got around to migrating from 1.5 to 2.0.
No major hurdles, and the upgrade process was fairly seemless.
I’m toying around with a different theme for the time being but may go back to the Kubrick-derivative I was using back in 1.5.x. Came across a nifty DHTML flickr badge that you see situated in the top-right corner of the page.
The improved post editor in 2.0 also looks good but I haven’t played around with it enough to discover it’s finer details.

What do you do when (heaven forbid) you have an over abundance of wildlife in a state?
Why, you lower the legal hunting age!
I guess all the 12 year olds in Wisconsin had younger brothers with itch trigger fingers that just couldn’t wait to get out into the woods. Well they now can, the age restriction has been lowered to 8 years old.
I think that when I was 8, I was probably playing Comander Keen and the closest I came to a gun was Castle Wolfenstein or perhaps Doom I. The critics fear that an 8 year old’s motor skills aren’t developed enough to handle a gun. My question is, have you seen an eight year old do anything coordinated? and just what type of gun are you going to give to someone like that?
Why *play *deer hunter when you can go out back and shoot yourself a 5 point for real!
